Our Lives are Woven .....Who is THE Weaver of yours??

As I sit here in my living room doing a little reminiscing... I think of all the different strands of my life that have been woven together to make this life I am living out...

  I'm learning and relearning (cuz I'm hardheaded and stubborn like that), with each passing day, week, month and year...that my precious Heavenly Father, has consistently, been weaving my life...with only the best strands..but sometimes from my perspective, it hurts, is sad, scary, embarrassing and other times it is fun, happy, lively, exciting, exhilarating and surprising.

My prayer-  Dear Lord- as you faithfully continue weaving the plan for my life together, help me to trust you when I don't understand, can't see, am scared or hurting.  Help me to take the steps as you guide and direct me to do so...trusting that through the joys and sorrows you are working a plan and see what will be when I sometimes get stuck on what is right now.  Be patient with me, help me to be patient with myself and others. I desire to live out your plan vibrantly, regardless of circumstances, fully trusting that you see what I cannot see and understand what I cannot comprehend.

One of my Favorite Books is THE HIDING PLACE.  Corrie Ten Boom is such an inspiration to so many.  ... she says- "We see the back of the embroidery, God sees the front! He knows how beautiful it will be."

The Weaver

My life is but a weaving
Between the Lord and me . . .
I may not choose the colors;
He knows what they should be;
For He can view the pattern
Upon the upper side,
While I can see it only
On this, the under side.

Sometimes He weaveth sorrow,
Which seems strange to me;
But I will trust His judgment
And work on faithfully.

'Tis He who fills the shuttle;
He knows just what is best;
So I shall weave in earnest
And leave with Him the rest.

Not till the loom is silent
And the shuttles cease to fly,
Shall God unroll the canvas,
And explain the reason why
The dark threads are as needful,
In the weaver's skillful hand,
As the threads of gold and silver
In the pattern He has planned.

What have I been doing?? A review of Wii Fit Plus

Well, I went skiing, skateboarding, tightrope walking, ran an obstacle course, snowboarded, went biking, did a little a yoga to boot.  All in the safety of my home via Wii Fit Plus.  What a great Christmas gift!!  My parents are in their 60's and several evenings during their recent visit, my husband and I, my 2 kids (6 &8) and my parents spent a few hours doing all kinds of these activities together.  Who knew my Mom was a champion Tight rope walker? Who knew my Dad was sooooo awesome at the Ski Jump?

In addition, Wii Fit Plus has a great option to select strength or yoga excercises to create your own routine.  My son has a 20 min. strength training routine that he's been doing every morning.  My 6 year old daughter is the newest to join the yoga trend.  We created a 15 min routine for her to do as she wants  and she has chosen to do it everyday for the last week.

I like the Free Run Feature...you select how long you want to run...stick the wii remote in your pocket or hold it in your hand while you jog in place.  Then, you turn the tv to whatever tv channel you want to watch and the remote keeps you updated with your progress and encourages you on your "run".   My kids  like the Free Run Feature...and watch cartoons while they jog.

A lot of the fun...is that it's a healthy alternative to video games.  I love that we can do it together as family. (it switches easily between users) or we can do it individually for a more serious work out time.  If you are teetering on the edge of getting a Wii Fit Plus....JUST DO IT!! You will not regret this investment.

Okay- gotta go..the ski jump is calling my name!
